Metal Prints

These aluminum prints by SHADOWLANDS DESIGN exhibit a non-traditional development in digital imaging and printing. Created from
photographs of digitally altered landscapes, the pigments of the images are heat and chemically infused into the aluminum surface through a process called dye sublimation. The luminous polished surface produces shifting light-filled sensations, as the sleek metal sheets float off the wall, mirroring the viewer looking in, as well as reflecting its own imagery. The technique was developed in France, used by the Jet Propulsion Lab, and adopted by professional photographers and artists world-wide for its unexpected stunning effects. Aluminum metal prints are wonderful to use in homes, offices, galleries to showcase unusual contemporary images and produce dynamic results.
